Dearest reader… a brand new musical comedy based on the 2013 hit Rom-Com has just played for two special concert productions at the Savoy Theatre.

Telling the story of unlucky in love Jayne Hayes, Austenland transports Hayes to an immersive Regency holiday resort where she hopes to meet her very own Mr. Darcy. West End superstar Lucie Jones was the toast of the ton, leading the piece alongside Oli Higginson, Laura Baldwin, Cassidy Janson, Daniel Krikler, Idriss Kargbo, and an ensemble which one would describe to his fellow socialites as excellent in every way.

With a score this catchy and lyrics this fun, I’m excited to see what the future holds for Austenland, as I’m sure this will not be the last time we get the chance to visit the Regency era!
